RC musings - my impressions
by Doubting Bro inso i went to the rc this past weekend and have a few observations:.
1 - use of videos - most parts had some sort of video prop.
they ranged from awkward (an example was on friday where they showed scenes of nature without a real purpose other than god made this) to very well done.

I'm just curious as to what day or when they had those parts at the Convention to men who were not MS or Elders. I can't recall hearing anything about that from our Convention.

the first-century christians met in homes.
they did not have exemption from taxes to the governments.

Rare Posting, Could you post the Time of the Monthly JW Broadcast where crazy things are said?
by Bubblegum Apotheosis ini do not know what it is about the monthly broadcasts that are making me feel they have watered down their message and talk at us like were stupid fools.
they prep each month for these broadcasts, why can't the gb speak on the level, not talking down at us like we are all infants?
the pitch, pace and tone of each monthly talk is weird, so there are many of us who can't handle watching this trash entirely.

I think you're on something here. The 'truth' basically sets everything up for couple and families. What I've noticed is almost a passive hostility toward singles, especially those over the 25-30 age group. The way they treat singles is just downright deplorable, like that of being invisible or nonexistant. -

I don't know. But it really makes a person wonder what's up with all the pushing for donations in the last little while. To the point of even asking children for money instead of buying an ice cream cone, makes one think. I'm sure that most of the R & F are thinking, I hope. -

yes, I watched it too!!
very, very influential video for children. I'd say between the ages of 4-12, this video is very moving, enticing.
As adults though, I say it's very disturbing to try to influence kids this way, almost sickening.

big accident at Warwick construction site
by oppostate inthe wt society is fond of using the tilt-up method of construction where a network of rebar is made on the ground, concrete poured on it and allowed to cure, then the whole thing is tilted up and voila' you've got yourself a massive big-ass wall ready made.
these walls for several stories-high buildings are indeed massive and weighty so you need a heavy-duty crane to raise into position.. i just heard from an eye-witness ldc volunteer that while there a few weeks ago they had an enormous accident.
the crane tilted and crashed, the only one hurt was its operator.
